Austin Community College ADN Spring 2021

Published

Hello friends,

I know it's extremely early for this, but I wanted to create a forum for the Spring 2021 applicants for ACC! We can keep in touch here if anyone has questions about the application process or just the program in general. Happy applying y'all! I'm excited to start my future career as a nurse!

Okay so I looked and last semester they sent Ranks out April 30th I got the email at like 12:30. Then they didn’t send my rejection letter until June 29th which was a month after the listed deadline. ?

Did the rejection letter have how many applicants put in or if they had a lot of reapplicants? Did the ranking placements come out at the same time? I hope they can get all the information out before Fall 2021 cohort opens.

So the rejection letter tells you where you stand in the line out of how many people applied. That came a few weeks after acceptance letters went out. Our ranking is your score based on your GPA & stuff- not where you stand in the line. We got those and like 3 weeks after acceptance letters went out. I reapplied before I even got my rejection because at that point it was obvious I didn’t get in. The application period had already opened for Spring.

They must have literally just updated that as I checked an hour ago! Argh so frustrating. Thanks for the update!!

Thanks for letting me know.

Hopefully we can get the rankings today!

Not feeling great about this one y’all! Strongest part of my Fall 2020 application was the HESI score and with it being such a large pool I’m already wondering if they give additional points for 3 time applicants. ? Hopefully we see our rankings today and can get this process going. In the Fall 2020 thread it looked like ~36 was the lowest scores that got accepted. I’m wondering if 26 (minus the 10 HESI points) would be the equivalent? My gut says probably not as it’s a larger pool and most likely the minimum will be inflated. Good luck everyone!

If you're a re-applicant for this round, I think you'll still get your 5 extra points added onto your score. So if you have a 26, your possible rank would be 26 + 5 = 31.

It's unclear what the cut-offs will be for this round. I have a feeling it's probably going to be pretty high due to the number of re-applicants and also just how competitive it's getting. I'm sort of stressed since it's just a waiting game at this point, but still trying to keep as positive as I can LOL.

According to the application status page rankings will be sent out today or tomorrow. Look out for it.

I’m feeling the same way. My HESI was my strong point as well. We also get an extra point for nursing skills if it was taken last Spring!! So we get 6 points total as a reapplicant. I didn’t have ethics on my rank last time but this time I do so I’m hoping that helps.

I’m a reapplicant too and last semester I applied and my rank was 35.25. I completed skills in the Spring/Summer (had to retake it!) So this time how many extra points would be added to my rank. I’m so nervous y’all. My strongest part of my application is my HESI as well. GPA is ?. ?

6 points should be added to yours as well I’m pretty sure. But minus 10 from the HESI LOL. I wish we could’ve gotten some sort of boost for having the HESI as a reap.
