Nursing Students Post Graduate

Has anybody else applied to Augusta University for the doctoral anesthesia program starting in 2019? Looking to start a discussion regarding the application/acceptance process.

Hi everyone!! I've gotten a few notifications on the application post from last year. We are very busy studying, so I'm sorry if you haven't been able to reach anyone in the program already. Any specific tips y'all are looking for?

Hey there. Since you have already been through the interview process, do you have any advice? How much of it is clinical questions?

Elizabeth, do you guys do any rotations abroad?

Hi! Thank you so much for reaching out! I'm personally just nervous for interviews and was wondering if it's more of a personal interview or knowledge-based interview? I've just heard that a lot of CRNA school interviews ask CCRN-related questions.

3.82 BSN GPA, 307 GRE, and will have 3.5 years ICU experience by Spring 2019. Submitted my application this month, so hoping to hear something soon. Best of luck to everyone :)

I'll try to reply to y'all as much as I can! I really enjoyed my interview process. As far as my personal interview, the professors seemed to care more about getting to know me as a person. I know some other schools will administer a CCRN-like exam prior to interviews (MUSC for example)... this is not one of those programs. How I prepared was by reading this forum! Look up the thread from last year! Also try searching MCG CRNA. The Medical College of Georgia underwent a name change to Augusta University, but the program stayed the same. That should give you some more postings on allnurses about past interviews. :)

As far as rotations abroad, I'm not familiar with any schools that offer this as an option. Are there any? Honestly I have no knowledge of rotations abroad available at any program but I could be totally in the dark about that so I'm sorry. ):

Has anyone else gotten a phone call to schedule an interview?

Not yet, just patiently waiting over here.

3.8 BSN gpa, 299 GRE, 3yrs MICU. I submitted my app in December and received an email in February that I was missing a transcript so my app was updated on February 21st. I'm kinda nervous that people were offered interviews before the deadline.

Where did you find that total cost?

I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm hoping to hear something by the end of this week or the next since the second round of interviews are in April and we're suppose to know a month in advance. **fingers crossed for all of us**

I emailed the program manager and she responded today and said they are reviewing apps now. Candidates selected for interviews will be notified the 1st and 2nd week of April, interviews held the end of April, and acceptance letters sent in early May. Good luck to all!
