Augusta University 2019 CRNA Applicants

Published

Has anybody else applied to Augusta University for the doctoral anesthesia program starting in 2019? Looking to start a discussion regarding the application/acceptance process.

Did you get a call yesterday?

Yes. Got a call yesterday afternoon.

I interviewed on the 30th and got the call yesterday. GRE 311, GPA 3.5, 2.5 years PICU experience

Question for the current CRNA students (or prospective students with information)-what is the best source of information regarding tuition/cost of living/other fees and expenses? I'm looking for a general/lump sum cost in addition to more of a breakdown semester-to-semester. Did you get your preliminary numbers based off of the AU website and learn more once you started the loan process? Thanks so much for any insight!!

This might be a silly question! Do people include their writing on their GRE score? I got a 303, but if I got a 4 on writing, would I say 307?

I think the combined GRE score is a combination of your quantitative and verbal reasoning scores. I honestly don't think they were too concerned with the writing portion of our GRE... especially since we already had to complete an essay with the application. But that's just my guess Lol

Yes! I just added up the verbal, quantitative, and writing scores.

I believe the writing score is not added into the overall score. It is just the verbal and quantitative score together and the writing score separate. Some schools look at both scores but they aren't one solid score

The writing score is not part of the combined GRE score used. So your actual score is 307-writing=GRE score.

Prospective student here, but I haven't found much. I'm also wondering how much time we will have to spend away from Augusta for the clinical rotations. They briefly went over it in the interviews, but not too much.

Hey ya'll. I couldn't wait any longer and emailed Laura Lewis. She said the 2019 class has been accepted and notified already. If you weren't called, apparently we will receive emails at the end of the month who is an alternate and who is declined altogether.
