Nursing Students School Programs

Hello Everyone! Is anyone here planning to apply to AU MSN/CNL program for Fall 2019? Also, is anyone here who is currently in the program? Too bad the forum doesnt let me PM yet to users. [h=1][/h]

Hello!

I am almost ready to submit my application.. for those than are currently in the program my question is - does timing of application submission make any difference? I am currently in CNA training with 4 weeks lefr. I kind of want to wait until I get the certification and apply for work to mention it in my applicstion. Let me know thoughts! Thank you!

Definitely need someone to answer just got a job as caregiver and I haven't accrued any hours yet but not trying to wait to get all those hours

Not in the current class, but I've heard from the program advisors that they convene the selection committee as early as October.

I don't think your four week delay would affect you greatly. But, I do believe the early bird catches the worm.

All of my transcripts have been sent, all of my recs are in now, just gotta finish writing about academic challenges and I can submit. I'm excited! So they haven't even started looking at apps yet?

They may, but from my understanding the committee convenes at a certain time.

Spell check and good luck!

I know that the acceptance rate was mentioned earlier in the thread.. But are there any other statistics on acceptance?

Of those that did not get accepted what ranges were their GPA, test scores, date application submitted, etc... Just out of curiosity.

Hello guys,

I have started with the application for the CNL fall 2019 Augusta Campus.

Good evening/ morning murfeym! It's 0100 and I don't even know what to call it. Anyway, here are my thoughts on your situation. The deadline for applying to this program is Feb 1st 2019. If you feel that CNA experience will set you apart in your essay, then I would wait and add them into your essay, then submit your application later. If you think you're ready to apply now, then apply (You can tell them that you're a CNA in training). I also want you to know that there is also an interview component. And you can tell them all about your life during your interview.

I was a late applicant. I submitted on Jan 30th, got the interviewed 2 weeks later, and received my acceptance letter on March 17th. ruffj is right. Early bid catches the worm; however, slow and steady also win the race. Good luck. And happy national coffee day!

They did mention about it during my orientation but I forgot (TBH I was happy and scared on that first day :( ). I've heard that some of people applied early as in Sept. and late as in Feb (They extended for 5 days after the deadline. Don't count on that for this year). Average GPA > 3.2-ish. Av. test scores > 300. Good luck!

Hello guys,

Welcome and good luck.

Athens is a great campus. Parking is free!!! And you have many places to go out for lunch. They also have a campus tour if you're interested.

Question, have any of you had trouble writing your personal statements? Im scared mine fall TOO short under the limit, however I answered the question thoroughly. Not sure what to do!

I did. I went to the writing center at my school and they helped me with that. As long as you addressed the question thoroughly, you should be good. Moreover, you can send it to your friends and seek their inputs. Good luck! You can do it!
