Augusta Univ-MSN/CNL- Fall 2019 Entry

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello Everyone! Is anyone here planning to apply to AU MSN/CNL program for Fall 2019? Also, is anyone here who is currently in the program? Too bad the forum doesnt let me PM yet to users. [h=1][/h]

I filled out my supplemental application as well as NursingCAS on October 2nd... it got verified yesterday and the Augusta website says my supplemental hasn't been received. How long did it take that to update for you all? Also, do you have to send your transcripts to Augusta University separately as well as to NursingCAS...?

Hey @aspiringnurse2020,

I would recommend contacting Emily if you have any problems with the supplemental application.

You will need to send your official transcripts to AU as well! Here's the address:

Augusta University Office of Academic Admissions

1120 15th Street, Benet House,

Augusta, GA 30912

You can also send them electronically if that is an option for you!

Wait, so your app got verified within like 4 days? That's so fast!

I thought we only send transcripts to NursingCAS!

I believe we had to last year, but maybe that was after I was accepted? If you are still completing pre-reqs or haven't graduated, then they will need updated transcripts every semester.

I emailed Emily. She will be back in her office tomorrow so hoping for a reply!

Actually everything is all good. Just got the email that my application is ready to go and is being reviewed!

Hey y'all! I'm applying soon! I have a question about the essay portion of NursingCAS. Are we really suppose to do 3 or 4 separate essays? If so how long were your essays? Each box allows for like 2500 words!

I think it really depends. I had to cut my essay down from 3000. But the other parts were less than 2500. I bet they dont want to sit and read novels day after day either.

I just had an email exchange with Emily. All transcripts must go to NursingCAS ONLY.

Hi XXXXX,

No, official transcripts only go to NursingCAS. They do not need to be sent to Augusta University Office of Admissions. Only test scores are sent there.

Emily.

It's only 2500 characters, not words! That equals like 3 small paragraphs per question so it's not that bad. Except the academic challenges answer can be longer but it's optional.

Hello Everyone!

I have been lurking on this board, and reading this thread and older Augusta MSN-CNL threads for a while. I am sure now I will be applying for Fall 2019, so I thought I would introduce myself. I will be taking the GRE in a couple of weeks, and my transcripts and references are not ready yet.

I do not have any healthcare experience, but I have management experience. My GPA is probably going to be around 3.29 when NursingCAS compiles all of my different schools. I am hopeful that admissions will see I became a mostly A student once I was older. I have a feeling I may be one of the oldest students applying, as I will turn 40 at the end of October. I'm currently conflicted about Augusta Campus, versus Athens. Athens is closer to me, but I suspect I would be more focused in Augusta without a daily hour-long commute to Athens. Also, is it true Athens has some online courses, whereas Augusta is all live instruction?

I see on NursingCAS that there are four essay prompts. Are these in addition to a personal statement? Is the form with these essay prompts the supplemental application?

I am really excited and this program is definitely a perfect fit for me. Good luck everyone, and thanks for all the information.
