i first planned to take the nclex last april but i didnt seem to give much time studying.. :banghead:now, im really determined to take it on august..
come and join the august group!! :welcome: who knows, we might be giving each other the needed encouragement and moral, psychological and of course, spiritual support to pass the nclex!! we got three months to go to gear up and beat the nclex!
best of luck to all of us, god bless this group and may he be with us all...

August Test-Taker here. Using Kaplan Study Guide and taking the course in July. I also like Saunders because its great for content review. Having a hard time contructing a schedule right now since August seems so far away but it will be here before we know it! Good luck everyone!

same here.. hopefully, this time, i could really take the exam on august.. lol! sometimes, i feel so motivated but laziness eats me after.. lol!
I'd also like to finish the whole Saunders book and im planning to get Hurst review course maybe by June.. I badly need motivation to push me to study harder! keep us posted ashfost! :)
Just a little update on my studying: I am planning to take the Kaplan classroom course in July so for now I am using my results from the Kaplan workbook Test CD and studying my weak areas. I use the correlating chapters in the Kaplan workbook and any content I'm not sharp on, I review in Saunders. I have access to the QBank online so I practice questions from the specific content area too. Its going to be very tedious but I feel like I will cover what I need before I walk into the classroom course. Good luck everyone!:redbeathe

I will be taking the test in August also. I signed up with Kaplan a weeks ago, and will be using Saunders for content review as well. So far I feel like I know absolutely nothing! I failed the hesi with a 648 score and feel like passing the NCLEX might be a daunting task with such a low hesi score. I am scoring in the 59 range for the kaplan trainers and qbank tests but I was told that is not good enough and need to bring it up to the 65 range minimum. Weaker area is psych, especially those drugs! I will try to do at least 2 (50) question test per day and review contents. I am hoping to feel more confident as I move closer to the exam but for now, I am scared, . Thanks for starting the thread.

I am a repeat test taker planning to retake in August too. I am still waiting for my test report but in the mean time I took the pretest on the Saunders CD and I am studying pharm right now as that was the area I had the greatest need according to the Saunders pretest. I am thinking about taking the Kaplan course also but not sure. Any advice? Good luck to everyone!

I am hoping to test the end of August. I graduated May 13th, but have a short summer semester to finish up. I will be officially done July 31st. I have a friend who said the earliest she had heard anyone get a test date was 3 weeks. That sounds good to me. I want to be DONE!
