Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I just did. No book list yet though

can you just walk in to take the drug test??? and can we go to any quest that's closer to us or just the one on that paper???

You can go to any Quest, but call and make sure the location you go to does the drug test because not all Quest do drug tests

Does anyone know if south campus will accept 3, 4 or 8 hour CPR classes like central does???

Me too!! Please use the medical and health examination forms sent out by the program office and not the one on the website as it does not have the updated section for the physician to enter the PPD in millimeters of induration. I just clarified it with Nicole after I noticed the south campus forms look a bit different than the ones from the web site and the link she sent out.

I'm central campus process 1 and 2 1-4pm .. anyone buy nursing shoes yet? Idk what to buy !! Ahh

I can tell you my CPR is 4 hours and it was accepted.

Is anyone having a problem getting the flu vaccine? I'm told it's not available as of yet. And they want these papers by August 1st? For South...Hmmm.;)

The form for our physical exam says the flu vaccine is required seasonally between September 15th & March 31st.. Sooo I'm guessing we have to wait until then?? Don't quote me on this lol I'm only guessing, can someone confirm this?

I've never had a flu vaccine before. For as long as I can remember I've never been sick, I've had a stuffy nose that's about it. Do we have to get it?

I don't know if the story about the cheerleader that had the flu shot that went wrong is true or not but I can honestly say it scared the crap out of me that's why I've been afraid of getting it :blink:
