August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Does anyone know is it true that the first semester you are in school 5 days a week, because of the Lecture classes that are Monday and Friday plus the 2 math classes and the required lab time? Just curious...getting myself mentally ready.

You are there 5 days the first 2 weeks. We had to fit in lab hours as well. It all fits in. Not sure if the regular semester is the same as summer but I imagine it is... But what 2 math classes? There is one weekday is the second?

Just got the scrubs at north bookstore for $12.50 for the top and $10 bottom. Great chance to get uniforms at an affordable price.

Sorry, I was thinking of Pharmacology. Do you happen to know why is it five days the first two weeks only?

Hi Meme,

I would love to go to South as well, but I heard that South Campus is like the military and profesors are not that nice, compared to North. I live by South Campus.

There's really no requirements, just buy tops and bottoms.

Hey and I understand, everyone has heard their fair share of horror stories, but that is the closest campus to me and I plan on giving this program my all no matter what campus I attend...
