Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
Does anyone know if the Pharmacology class has to be taken the first semester or could you take it later?
This is how the sequence of the classes are. They tell you what classes to sign up. There's no making your own schedule at your own pace . You just pick from the list they provide you with. That email will go out after the orientation meeting.
The semesters are 2 mini semesters for each regular semester. It's 8 week classes instead of 16 weeks
Hi,
B. Moore: As far as campus, today I heard from a current student..central was the worst, south is the hardest, and north is the best. I live near north. :-)
Stel: Thanks, I will join it today.
future nurse: it will take as long or as fast as possible... Depending on how much you want to spend at once...I had to pay for physical, 2 shots so far, the hesi, ppd + X-ray if you test positive and still have to do 3 titers and eventually background check. I've already spend over $300. I have no insurance or financial aid.
Stay calm!!
Hey everyone! I am new to this site, I got accepted to the august 2014 RN program like all of you guys (: congrats! Yay! Anyways does anybody know if there is another orientation after the pre admission orientation? If there is i am itching to know when because I'm going to be in Europe for the first 3 weeks in august. Hope I find out soon !!
I can't remember where I read this because I read sooo many threads lol but I believe we have another orientation at the campus of our choice a few days before classes start!! The program starts August 25th so we should expect to have an orientation the week of the 18th-22nd. BUT every campus is different so you'll probably have to check with someone at the campus you want to attend!
In regards to Central being the "worst" campus, I recently met a student that attended Central and finished the program without failing one class, she said that it was hard but not impossible. My point is you'll continue to hear good and bad about all of the campus but you'll NEVER hear the full truth from the students reporting the horror stories (i.e they did'nt study, come to class on time, or just simply wasnt cut out for the field) so my advice is form your OWN opinion and do whats best for you...thats what I'm going to do!
Ok im a little late! But I'm interested in this PDF! My email is [email protected]
I made that email as a child Lol don't laugh
