Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
How did you do on the practice test? Did you do the test taking skills on the computer in the lab? Im here just reading and understanding as much as I can. Just breath and read the questions carefully. Answer what you are asked not what you think they should have asked. Most important.....say a pray and ask God to help you with recall and applying critical thinking to each question. Good luck.

Thanks girl, you too. I did the program in the lab and that has helped tremendously. I also have a fundamentals of success book for nursing and critical thinking which was a lot like the computer program. I got a 70 on the practice test which is not good. That's a D ion the nursing grading scale. I will be praying all day tomorrow

Yay, that's great!! So, how many chapters did you have on this test? Is there any truth to the 10-12 chapter exams?
Ok so we had 7 chapters on this test not 10 or 15. And this was pretty tough in itself so if anyone did get 15 I think it would be summer since their a little more accelerated. All in all I'd say read, do the questions in back, do the questions on the evolve site, buy a fundamentals of success q&a and with test questions and you will have a good foundation. It's just hard juggling all that in two weeks and finding time to study for clinical demos and math. Gonna get started on studying now, still on pins and needles waiting for results.
