Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Do I need it for process 1 or 2 ?

The clinical skills book? Yes. You'll need them also for your patient profiles for clinical.

North for college algebra would be Pro. Jacque Olcy Francois.

Hello everyone, I'm currently on my journey to becoming a nurse however I came across a bump in the road. I have one more pre req to take before I can apply which is college algebra. Can anybody recommend a good teacher. Preferably at north or central campus will even consider online. Your help will be greatly appreciated and congrats to the people who did get accepted.

You can get it in the bookstore

Yes. They may assign pages to practice in class.

Thanks! I was debating whether to really buy it.

For South, I know we are going to need the Perry and Potter book, but how do we know what other books are needed? Is it safe to just buy the Perry & Potter now, and wait until orientation to know what to do re the others?

Yes. You may also want to get the Jarvis book. Wait until orientation. They'll give you specific details.

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions.

Do we need to but a id card holder in advance?

For the orientation packet, do we buy the one that says Process I or all the other ones? When I was bookstore, it was orientation packets for more than one course.

Are we allowed to have ankle socks?

These questions were probably already answered on this forum, but I'm trying to get all the little last minute things together.

hi, as far as the card holder, i would think so. i dont think they will be supplying anything for us.

Orientation packets question is campus specific and i know about the bc module and nursing student handbook we need from the booklist, not sure which packet u mean. if your going to South, those students on here can help you better than me.

And i remember being told that our socks have to be way above our ankles. They do uniform inspections

Which campus are you going to? It really depends on the campus. Honestly, I don't remember there being an inspection for uniform socks. I lost my whites and actually wore black ones and nothing happened. Then again I'm at Central and they're a little more lenient.
