Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
THANKKKKKK YOUUUUUU!!!!! this makes soooo much sense and I actually like it like this, practice our skills build confidence and then get thrown to the wolves lol!!!i think it depends on your professor. Our professor has us starting the Hospital on Oct. 1 and our in school clinicals is at 7:30am, so between that and then he required lab ours every week, we will be BEYOND busy
I just called medic urgent care center and the titers cost $290. Check up $29 POD $10....is there anyplace I can get this done cheaper. My poor pocket. Im self pay so every dollar counts.
By "check up" do you mean the physical? I need to get this done and I don't have insurance either. This stuff is so expensive. :-(
ok I just read something interesting for those of you that already have a bachelors degree in another field, starting next year Jan 2015 you can enter a new accelerated option where you can earn your BSN in 24months (instead of getting your ASN in 18 months)...this is a really good option seeing how a year later you'll be able to start your masters! (wish I had a bachelors lol)

I was considering it... but if the ASN is really hard I would imagine this would be even worse.
