Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Hey guys! I went on CEUFast.com and saw that OSHA is only 1 hour. I know I was telling someone on here about doing it at broward college but its not until August 1st which is too late for the South Campus deadline (August 9th). Is anyone else experiencing this issue>
you can use this, you just have to do an additional ceu (infection control and barrier protection, not sure if im saying it right) to make up for the missing hour

Anyone did their titers at dr365 in Plantation on Saturday? Just got a call that the lab misplaced all the samples from Saturday and they are trying to have everyone come in today to do it over since mmr test is done on Thursdays. I cant believe a lab can make such a huge mistake. They better be prepared to give a huge discount on my boosters. This is so unacceptable.

wow that is crazy, i just went back Sunday to get my ppd results and Monday I picked up my titer results. i would hope they offer a discount but with businesses like that, i wouldnt hold my breath. They wouldnt even try to take my insurance although it covered everything. I couldve used that money

My husband just told me this is very concerning that all the samples from a facility gets misplaced by a lab. Someone needs to offer a discount or refund me the original cost of the test for this HUGE error. I have never heard of this happening here before. I was told this is the first time this has happened at their facility. They are the cheapest so I guess I got what I paid for. Smh! I need to have everything done by August 1st and I told them that. Ughhhh!

Where did you go? I went to Drs. 365 yesterday but I can't use my insurance there. I'd rather go somewhere that'll take my insurance because I can't afford these ridiculous prices smh.

What's the point of having insurance when you can't use it???

I know how u feel. I couldn't find anyone that would take my insurance, hopefully you have better luck than me

I really don't want to defer my seat.. I need a place that'll accept insurance because I need that money since I'll be quitting my job for the program!

Find out from your insurance company what facilities will accept for the titers and boosters. From reading other threads it appears that the titers and boosters are not covered by insurance companies. That may be the issue.

I wouldn't defer but just do what u need fir now. The hep b can be done later but drs365 is the cheapest I've found
