Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
I work at a primary care so my doc just filled out the forms for me but the insurance covers the labs as long as the right codes are used. I do the billing here and I used the right screening codes and it was all covered 100% and I did not have an immunity to Rubeola so I needed the vaccine and walgreens covers it. Normally would cost $99 but 0 through the insurance. Don't defer your seat. I regret it trust me !!! You have enough time to get everything done since most things can all be done at the same time
Man I wish I knew this before I paid them, perhaps u can help Nelly out

Yeah it's a lot of stuff but you know what you need to do so just get it done. I got all my CEUs done in january when I thought I was applying for May. One less thing to worry about. Physicals been done since April. Just hesitating on the drug test since I just got my wisdom teeth pulled and I'm on meds. Don't want to justify any red flags that come up lol

Good luck! Fill us in. I'm going to north so I gotta wait til next week. I can't wait to start already!!!! And leave my job! It's like they know the end is near and it's unbearable!!!
sooo just talked to financial aid and apparently Barnes and Noble has taken over our bookstore and is changing how and when we can get our books. Officially the guy said, they dont know when we can actually purchase them. WTH?
huhhhh??? that's insane I was going to try to start reading soon smh that's insane!!!!
Am I the only one still waiting for my financial aid to come in and pay for my classes? I keep checking, this whole process is so nerve racking! I can't wait to get over with all this..
I am too. Stop freaking out lol. It's like this every semester. Last was soooooo much worse. I think it pays for the classes the day it's due. I've never had FA before so don't quote me. The remaining goes on the BC ID card.

LOL I know u said dont quote u, but mine is already paid and everything. I dont know why they had to involve Barne sand Noble, im sure nothing is gonnna chage much service or price wise, Im also ****** that there is no more direct deposit for refunds either. Were back to the same old checks in the mail again.

Lolllllllll I've never had any financial help so to me it all new and exciting. Anything is better than nothing over here. Especially since I'm quitting my job and living off of pennies.
