Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
I've completed my CEU's ($24.95) and CPR(FREE), I have my titers already (thank God), I just made an appointment for my physical and ppd (hoping /i won't have to pay anything for that) and I will be buying my online background check tonight ($34.87) and then I'll do my fingerprints ($60) next weekend! I'm just ready to be DONE!!!
For CEU Fast did you just pay the Annual fee ($29.95) and that allowed you to print the certificates for each after completing and passing the tests??
Bought my orientation packet for central it costs $6 dollars and it includes the book list that we will need. I also got my background check, fingerprinting, drug test, physical and vaccines done. I suggest to start with the vaccines and titers results take a week. I did my physical and vaccinations at dr.365 in plantation, cheapest I found.
Does anyone know how the grading is for Central and North? I spoke to a student at South the other day who said they only have 3 tests for each class which is stressful because there is so little grades collected for your class grade... basically you cant mess up at all. I am just wondering if it is the same at the other locations.
Just picked up my orientation package at Central. Its a crap load of reading ALREADY lol. Also the bookstore confirmed the purchasing of books for August 10th, still peeved with that info too. See you guys in a couple of days!!! If anyone attending Central wants to grab lunch after the orientation hit me up, we might as well get acquainted now since well be glued together for the next 18 months!
