Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
My fellow South Campus students: Is it true that our schedule consists of 3 days of classes vs 4 like the North and Central? (I forgot to ask the girl this and I have my pre-admission meeting on Wednesday so I did not register for classes yet)
I wrote my schedule down on a calendar and i have 4 days.
How long does it take to get certified with Financial Aid? I need the FA to get books.
Don't think it's long but because it's kinda late u may not get a full grant. Just go to Fafsa.gov and fill it out. Also go to studenloans.gov too cause that can help with replacing what financial aid may not be able to give you. Complete the master promissory note and answer all questions. I'd call financial aid by Thursday after your done and see if all is well afterwards

I've completed my CEU's ($24.95) and CPR(FREE), I have my titers already (thank God), I just made an appointment for my physical and ppd (hoping /i won't have to pay anything for that) and I will be buying my online background check tonight ($34.87) and then I'll do my fingerprints ($60) next weekend! I'm just ready to be DONE!!!
Olkan' make sure when you get your drug testing at quest you leave with the little receipt they give you..(it's a little piece of paper) because you have to hand that in to nursing with the rest of your papers.if they give you a different receipt than that paper that's fine but make sure you leave with some sort of receipt because that's the schools verification they want us to show we had it done
Do we have to have the books the first day of class? I am was hoping I could wait until the second week of class. I don't want to buy books that I don't end up using. With the right resources such as powerpoints, I am pretty certain that we'll do well in pharmacology and the math class without the books. I still think the books will be a 'must have' for nursing process one and two.

If it's 30 that'll be awesome, but i got an email saying its 46 a few weeks ago. I'd appreciate saving the extra bucks. I'm officially broke
