Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I wrote my schedule down on a calendar and i have 4 days.

Okay, Thank you.

red1018, thanks for pointing that out. I'll definitely make sure to get some sort of receipt.

Do we have to have the books the first day of class? I am was hoping I could wait until the second week of class. I don't want to buy books that I don't end up using. With the right resources such as powerpoints I am pretty certain that we'll do well in pharmacology and the math class without the books. I still think the books will be a 'must have' for nursing process one and two. [/quote']

From what I've heard we will be told what books to get on Thursday. I would get what they say we need. The math is pretty basic ratio proportion but I would get it anyway, you never know. I wouldn't mess with pharm, that is all drugs and interactions, I'd get the book but that's just me

Don't think it's long but because it's kinda late u may not get a full grant. Just go to Fafsa.gov and fill it out. Also go to studenloans.gov too cause that can help with replacing what financial aid may not be able to give you. Complete the master promissory note and answer all questions. I'd call financial aid by Thursday after your done and see if all is well afterwards

Thank you. I already filled all of the FA paperwork out a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, I will not be pell eligible though because I have a prior degree. I can only receive loans.

I have two extra pairs of BC scrub pants (BRAND NEW)... Size XS.. Does anyone want to buy them off of me. I am not sure that BC does returns.

Yeah that does suck, im sorry

Yeah that does suck, im sorry

Thx. It sucks bc I never received FA in my life!

I have a friend that is a nurse... here is what she said about BC:

Hey girl I'm doing good! I'm not sure about the south campus. I last precepted a nursing student from north campus and she said it was hard but good. She just took her boards last week n passed. Overall, I love the broward students! I feel like they know their stuff and are eager to learn and help. Out if all the schools we get at work, they r my favorite! But sorry I'm not sure about how the south one is. I'm assuming they would all be similar. Good luck! Hope that helped a little.

How much?

$22 for the two of them. (Aka $11 each)

I've received an email this afternoon from South Campus outlining that orientation is August 22. I'm confused, do we orientation 7/16 as well as 8/22? I really did not received an email regarding the one on 7/16, I learnt about it through this forum. My head is spinning, someone please reply.
