AUG 9,14-NYHQ RN open house

hi, anyone of you here joined the open house today and was able to fill in an application? after filling out, they gave me this envelope with some papers about the pharm bok review, etc.. as i was reading it, it says, we'll gonna have ourselves scheduled for the pharm exam.

QUESTION:

do we have to wait a call from them (if chosen)?

this does not guarantee that you are hired right?

please enlighten me..thanks =)

The one on calling card, called that 2 numbers, the recorded msg said,she'll be out till aug25, and secretary (i guess) said same thing.

Teletipid, how is everything other wise on ur end as far as ur refenences? Did some get completed yet?

Did your friends happen to mention anything about the timeline after taking the pharmacology exam? Or the process? I asked again and the HR secretary told me that after passing pharm exam you would meet with recruiter to discuss the terms of the job, but I can't imagine that there would be no interviews for the specific unit.

Any information is appreciated. I'm starting to get anxious hoping to start my nursing career very soon!

Did you take the pharm exam already? If you did how was it ( difficult)? Just nervous about it because I am super anxious to start my nursing career.

I was able to put 6 references thou.. But one of them still pending till now due to health reason and i cant be able to delete it so i left it like that. I emailed her last week regarding this issue because im scared that it wont be able to generate a report due to pending reference, she replied and said as long as i have the minimum references, they'll be able to get a report..so on that note, im kinda relieved...

now, almost 2 weeks, not getting any calls from them makes me worried, i know its too much for me but just cant stop worrying unlike you that they call you for the exam.. Now u feel it that ur getting there...thats what it is......:(

they said after a week f the test if you passed you was called in to sign paper work and go over your terms. You also directed to get your premeployment physical. and then two weeks after that they were assigned to orientation start days. But one is pregnant so she is on "hold" until she delivers\

I wouldn't stress too much about the exam! Especially for me, just graduating and passing the NCLEX. We all have the knowledge necessary and they're definitely not trying to set you up for failure. Just relax it's the best thing to do!
