AUG 9,14-NYHQ RN open house

hi, anyone of you here joined the open house today and was able to fill in an application? after filling out, they gave me this envelope with some papers about the pharm bok review, etc.. as i was reading it, it says, we'll gonna have ourselves scheduled for the pharm exam.

QUESTION:

do we have to wait a call from them (if chosen)?

this does not guarantee that you are hired right?

please enlighten me..thanks =)

Well just the references, and pharm exam...then success!

Two classmates were hired on the last open house and we're called for second interviews before being offered a position. That is why I am questioning.

Who knows, I assumed there would be a second interview too, but she said otherwise. I guess we'll find out soon!

Kinda wish I was able to go to this, but I was busy on Saturday and could not change plans . Does anyone know if there will be other open houses? What units were hiring?

As far as units hiring they ask me about ER, med/surg...they had critical care but was a new grad so I could not ask for that which I really want. Do they have 12hr shift...anybody knows? Thanks in advance.

They also asked about ER/ MS, ETC. Are you a new grad? Not working right now?

They do have 12 hour shifts which you will be transitioned into after orientation. They sent an email this morning asking for 5 references in which your references will submit answers to a skills survey questionnaire. Do you know how long after they get the answers when they call you for the pharm exam>??? I am pretty nervous!

yeah, i got it too.. am just wondering, do we have to complete this right away? i think one of my reference person dont have an email add.

Yea, they said we have up to 24hrs to submit the email...omg I am sooooooo nervous. 5 refenences is a lot

Pharm test I over heard like two weeks which is good because that is also a lot as well, or maybe I am letting my nerves get the best of me:nailbiting:
