ATT transfer

Published

Hi,

I have a California ATT. If I fail the NCLEX the first time, do I have to wait for another 3 months before I can take the exam again?

I heard that there are some states where you only have to wait for 45 days before you can take the test again. Does anyone know which states? And how do I transfer my ATT to another state?

Thanks for your help advance!!

You cannot transfer an ATT to another state. Once you pass NCLEX, then you can endorse to another state. You would have to go thru the whole application process to go thru another state.

I believe that California has changed to 45 days for retaking of the exam, if need be.

Thanks for your quick response!! :)

I just checked California Board of Registered Nursing's website, it still indicates that it requires 91 days preiod to take the test again, not over 4 times a year.

I wonder if it has been changed or if it's still the same (90 days)?

I found the information from http://www.rn.ca.gov/lic/pdf/reapply_app_2003.pdf

Does anyone know the most updated information?

Thanks!

Last information that I received was that it was updated to 45 days.......but someone could have sent me th ewrong info.

Florida is 45 days

Thanks for all of your responses.

I heard it's not that easy to transfer your ATT to the other state and it will take a while to get it done.

I might just stay with my California ATT and I hope I can pass the first time.

I plan to take the test around May. Wish me luck!!! :)
