ATRIUM New Grad Residency Spring 2021

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone!

I submitted my application to Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC at the beginning of its opening. And I just wanted to create this topic for those of us who are anxiously waiting to hear a response ?. And also for us future colleagues to get to know one another as well!

If anyone knows the time it takes to get a call or the process in its entirety please feel free to comment ?

@Elaina77 Please don't give up! Until they've sent you an email stating they've decided to move forward, you still have a chance! ... and heck, even then I would still reapply! Thats just how determined I was to get a job at either hospital. Keep trying and be consistent and if it's for you , it can never be taken away ♥️

Thank you so much for the kind words!! ❤️ I really want a chance with them, hopefully I hear something soon!

I accepted an offer with Novant Health.

That is no longer a thing at atrium! Now critical care and emergency are specialty tracks within the New Grad Residency Program.

I just did a phone interview for the JOURNEY program today with one of the nurse managers on a critical care floor. There is not a lot of information about it which is weird.

Just FYI, I just received an invitation to interview for Novant.

So for those of you still waiting, keep your eyes open.

Congrats to everyone who is getting interviews and offers! Im still waiting for that email for an interview. Im still keeping hope alive!

I’m sure you can ask a nurse recruiter!

Journey is just what they call their residency. Your badge clearly says Journey when you are with a preceptor until you are ready to be on your own. The last group was hired in June or July of 2020 and they were on their own the week of Christmas. Which critical care floor? Which hospital? I have accepted a position in critical care at Atrium.

Interesting! I was offered a position in the MICU and no one mentioned the journey program to me. I’m super excited though!!

Hey you guys, I’m applying for the next round when I graduate in August. I saw many of you say that Atrium won’t hire anyone from out of state. Can anyone validate this?

Are any of you that got accepted to Novant from out of state?

thank you?

I used to work for Atrium back in the day as a CNA, when I reached out to my old unit manager she said had I not reached out their unit wouldn’t have considered my application because they do not hire out of state. They tend to mostly hire from their affiliated schools.

I am sure it differs with units.

I am out of state and just last night I received the email from Novant to interview but I’ve already accepted a position at Atrium.
