Came across this AtlasMR they say their jobs are all direct hire in AZ, NY, FL, CA, can't remember the rest. Has anyone got any experience of using them or they are like the dreaded other ...... which I won't name. Any input and comments much apreciated. If you like you can PM me. Thanks everyone. They are based here in the UK. Came across their website whilst surfing.

Have emailed my CV just to hear what they offer and will keep you posted if anyone interested to hear about my adventures whilst waiting for retro.

Goodnight .:zzzzz

hi thanks for posting this..I would love to hear from your story..Me i have emailed them and was interviewed thru phone and i got it..they are waiting for my documents.,I am just in doubt coz i don't have any ideas what kind of agency they are..Do you think im alright to ask for their help in finding me and employer?advise needed thanks.

Specializes in med/surg.

Like all agencies just make sure you go through the contract with a fine tooth comb and some! Atlas was on my list originally too & I did get an offer but luckily I was able to find a job on my own so I didn't get as far as seeing their contract.

Things to look out for are cancellation fees, the actual job offer as regards hours, location etc and the hourly rate of pay. You can check their pay rate against the norm for the area using the salary wizard. There is a link here on allnurses to the left of the quick reply box.

I know that Adevia have a cancellation fee for most of their offers of $8-10000 which I think is fair. Anything over that & you would have to ask yourself what you would do if the worst happened - would you be able to afford to cut your contract?

It is possible to go it alone - it will cost you approximately $8000 depending on how many people are on your petition. That is why I don't think any more than a max $12000 cancellation fee is fair. There is plenty of advice about doing things yourself in the sticky at the top of the UK home page.

Good luck - you're in for a long haul whichever way you choose to go!
