ATL Residency Spring 2024

Hi just wanted to start a thread for nurse residencies for Spring 2024 in Atlanta. I've applied to CHOA, Emory, Northside, NGMC, and Piedmont. Has anyone else applied or heard anything?

I only applied to CHOA & Emory.. I received the Nurse Corps Scholarship, so there was only a few hospitals that qualify other than clinics. Grady was on the list too but I can't make it to their hiring event. I have an offer from CHOA but it's for ED, and I really want ICU.. 

Have you applied to ICU? I can refer u to north sides ICU's residency. But I think Emory is slow with their reply but I would stay hopeful since you got a verbal offer. Did u get a shadow offer?

Yes, could you give me the information for Northsides residency? Thank you!! I only see extern positions online, has the deadline passed for nurse residency? & for nurse corps it would have to be the Forsyth location. & I did receive 2 shadow offers as well.

Thank you so much! I just applied. How long did it take for you to hear from Northside?

It took a week and half to hear from the recruiter. Hope that helps

So after emailing the assistant manager, manager, the recruiters & calling the manager & still getting no response I ended up texting the assistant manager & he responded LOL.. he said I should be getting the letter soon. so I guess they are still making decisions or either the recruiters are behind. But now im interested in northside LOL

Why the wait so long? I hope you hear something today from Emory because they said Monday and todays Wednesday!

Yes it's good but now they require you to have working experience to interview in that dept or 150 hrs of preceptorship.
