Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place to talk about Applications, TEAS Questions/Scores, Titers, and just getting to know each other!! Which semester are you applying for? Questions? It'll be fun! :) Introduce yourself!!!

I am applying for the fall term downtown. I'm nervous but totally excited! :)

I couldn't agree more! The questions were so specific, I have no idea how I would have done without them. On this exam I received a 91%, which is a whole letter grade better than when we couldn't use notes, which was like a low-mid B. Yeah, the paper exams were much easier to read and proceed with. We also had the 15 point extra credit before and 5 after. I'm so thankful for the extra credit, Lol. I'm going to try my best to get an A, which now may actually be possible because of the extra credit.

If if we don't hear something soon, I might just go crazy too!

Hey guys,

Since m3owz3rs ever so kindly posted the Spring 2016 Junior 1 text book list and since I have nothing better to do (than patiently endure the painful wait), I decided to look up the text book prices on the textbook list and compare it with the "Bundle" Prices that ASU's contracted company offers (Yes, I really AM this bored). The E-book only bundle is listed as $708 and the E-book and print bundle is listed as $978. After looking them up (mainly renting from amazon), you could get everything (print version but still rented) for around $350 PLUS the $115 simchart fee/year, so around $415 compared to the $978 bundle deal. If this list doesn't change, that would save like, $560!!!

However, I did hear someone say that we re-use some of the books for other semesters, so I don't know. But, the prices for renting were only $15-40 below purchase, just saying...

Geez, I really am going crazy.... I hope this email comes soon!!! I'm getting wayyy ahead of myself. =)

I think the email could be coming tomorrow because I assume after we receive it it will be a week until decisions plus the time they give us to reply, so maybe 12-15 more days. If it does come tomorrow then the decisions would be around April 18th, mid April!!

Do you know anything about this anonymous complaint about cheating in patho? They had someone come to our class asking for information

@k_karenh- I'm just glad you don't think I have gone crazy, haha. =D

Regarding the cheating complaint, my instructor mentioned that during the 2nd exam, students began turning around and talking to each other after he had already handed out the exam but stepped out to grab more scantrons.

Additionally, during the 3rd exam (online) students grouped together and took it together in the Tempe library, which is why we now take an online exam in the classroom.

Essentially, I wouldn't be surprised if people cheated again on the 4th exam, since it appears integrity is not very prevalent in our pathophysiology classes. However, I imagine I'll find out tomorrow since I'm in the M,W class.

WOW. I hope someone has some information because those people definitely do not deserve a spot in the nursing program, when everyone else is working so hard to get in. I had heard that a similar thing happened to my professor during exam 1 (not my class, but his later class) and how they ran out of scantrons and our TA had to go get more and everyone who had the tests already started looking up the answers on their phones. I honestly just want this class to be over, so we can stop stressing over these cheating incidents.

Well it's Wednesday everyone the literal middle of the week!! I'm trying to not freak out but if these emails do not go out today I might just cry

My advisor just sent me this:

"Due to technical issues we have not been able to send out the review email, but anticipate sending it out by tomorrow. Thanks again for your patience."

So just one more day for the wait everyone! (Hopefully)

Woohoo! Hopefully their technical issues will quickly resolve and we'll get the confirmation email later today. =)

In regards to the cheating, I couldn't agree more. People who cheat like this have no excuse and shouldn't be allowed into a career where integrity is very important. Maybe we were both thinking of the same scantron cheating incidence and I just mis-remembered it as exam 2. It was during another class period, so I wasn't there for it, but believe me, he definitely had a lot to say during the next class about it. The entire class this happened in had to re-take the exam I believe.

Wohooooo! Confirmation letters went out today!!! Not everyone has gotten theirs get (including me) but a ton of people have!
