Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place to talk about Applications, TEAS Questions/Scores, Titers, and just getting to know each other!! Which semester are you applying for? Questions? It'll be fun! :) Introduce yourself!!!

I am applying for the fall term downtown. I'm nervous but totally excited! :)

Is everyone still waiting on an email? I am like constantly checking.

This is the longest wait of my life! I am hoping for summer start, that leaves very little time to get everything arranged before summer classes...very concerning. Ugh...

This is definitely a very long and very painful wait! Last week, my advisor mentioned to me that we should be getting a confirmation email early this week. So, by Wednesday, maybe? Hopefully??? I guess i'll just keep incessantly checking my email... :whistling:

My advisor had said we'd get a confirmation email no later than early this week. Plus, I just have a feeling, haha. Maybe that feeling is desperation, but it's still there. :cheeky:

I did call the nursing advisor line, and the student said that there was a "change in schedule", so she doesn't really know when we'll get either the confirmation email or the acceptance email. She said the confirmation email is supposed to be the first two weeks of April and the acceptance email is sent during the end of April, but my advisor had said mid April, so I have no idea what's really going to happen, lol. I'm just hanging in for the ride...:sarcastic:

This is getting beyond stressful! I wonder why there was such a change, since our application guides said we would have the review email by March and decisions by early April. In past years they have had decisions at the end of March. I'm freaking out

I know! I think the past 3 years people were informed of the actual acceptance by March 28th. Another student on another thread earlier today said that her advisor gave her this statement:

"We had a large number of applications which has delayed our communications. We expect final decisions to be sent out on mid-April."

It definitely sounds like the nursing department was overwhelmed with the number of applications this year. I know last fall they had around 200 applications and this fall they had over 300 applications. I bet they had no way of anticipating that, which resulted in this delay. Hopefully we'll get a confirmation email tomorrow. I know once we get those emails, it only takes about a week after we send them back before they send acceptance emails. Although this waiting is killing me inside, I think I have mastered the skill of patience after this. =)

Hey k_karenh,

I know you mentioned you're taking Pathophysiology with Dr. Theo. Although I have Professor Dierks (i'm assuming were all taking the same exam), how did you feel about Exam 4? I'm just so glad it's open note now!

I thought it went well for me. The notes were such a help. We also had a shot at an extra 20 points so I'm hoping that will help me. There were some issues with the lockdown system so we all had to take our tests paper format, and honestly I feel like that was way easier and I stressed less. I will probably opt for paper on the next exam too. How did you feel about it?
