ASU- Summer/Fall 2016

Published

Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place to talk about Applications, TEAS Questions/Scores, Titers, and just getting to know each other!! Which semester are you applying for? Questions? It'll be fun! :) Introduce yourself!!!

I am applying for the fall term downtown. I'm nervous but totally excited! :)

Also, there were about 150 applicants who applied for Spring 2016, and I've heard it has been slowly growing since past years. I believe last year we had a flood of applicants bc GCU stopped accepting transfers into their nursing program, but that's just a rumor that I haven't fact checked haha.

I think at the information session they said there was about 200 applicants for fall/summer last year and there's about 170 spots available this year, so the chances look pretty high for everyone if there isn't tons of direct admits.

There's a thread from fall/summer 2014 where someone went through and explained exactly which books were needed and which ones were better off rented, I think it's worth the read!

Anyone heard anything else about the review emails? I'm going insane lol. I'm surprised we haven't gotten them yet. I figured it would at least be today, but I'm doubtful.

There's still hope for today since I've seen they have sent emails out as late as 5 in the past. Fingers crossed everyone!!

well that's good to know! This is seriously killing me. If they don't send them today, I'm gonna go crazy lol.

Okay! I have news... haha. I emailed my advisor and she said that review emails wont be going out until early next week and that acceptance emails will be going out in mid April. =)

"We have not sent the review email out yet so you have not missed anything. We are still following the Communication Timeline as described in the Advancement Guide. See the guide for additional details.

We anticipate that the review email will be sent out yet this week and the advancement status email will be sent out in April."

This is exactly what my advisor sent me so hoping for today since it's the last day of the week haha

Additionally, she mentioned that over 300 students applied for the Summer/Fall '16 group. So if only 200 students applied for Spring 16' and over 300 students applied for Summer/Fall '16, I can see why they might be running a bit late.

@m3owz3rs- Do you still happen to have that textbook list from the welcome session? If you do, could you post it? It would be really awesome if the summer applicants had a chance to look online to find a possibly cheaper textbook package, since they'll be starting in practically 6 weeks. I can't believe we are going to need 17 text books. :nailbiting:

If that's true, I like your version more. :)

I can definitely post it when I get home! Just be careful bc I don't know if they change books/editions at all semester to semester!

Alright! Sorry this took so long guys, I've been pretty busy. This link should have all three pages from the packet they gave us at the Spring 16 Welcome Meeting. Just please be careful, because I'm not sure if they will change editions for Summer/Fall. (

Sorry that the textbook list is so messy, I was writing on it while trying to find all the books for rent/cheaper, and this copy is the only one I have. The checkmark B on the left side of the book titles meant the book was included in the bundle. Most of the other numbers don't really mean anything haha. Also, Simchart can be bought seperately at (

Search Results), and if you are looking to try to rent, I recommend (bigwords.com), it is a lifesaver. They will have a representative from elsevier (the textbook distributor) at the welcome meeting, as well as a bunch of other helpful tips. Tell me if any of these links don't work or if you can't read anything because I just took a picture instead of scanning them in.
