Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place to talk about Applications, TEAS Questions/Scores, Titers, and just getting to know each other!! Which semester are you applying for? Questions? It'll be fun! :) Introduce yourself!!!

I am applying for the fall term downtown. I'm nervous but totally excited! :)

"In the next week, or so?" Wow. So will I have one month to prepare for the program? Securing financial aide, getting new health insurance, wrapping up things at my current job, etc? The convenience of the 16-month cohort is starting to seem very inconvenient.

I'm in total and complete agreement. I too picked summer as my first choice but that was with the understanding that we would know something by now. I have job offers currently on hold because I don't know if I'm going to be able to work full or part-time. It's really throwing a monkey wrench into things and causing so much added and undue stress. I just hope we find out this week because I'm losing money every day.

I imagine the nursing department will be sending out the acceptance emails some time this week. After all, I'm sure they must be very much aware of the situation everyone is in right now while waiting to find out, and wouldn't intentionally put us here. Hopefully we'll all find out tomorrow. I know my advisor and another advisor both mentioned that we would likely hear by Friday, so I'm staying positive and hopeful!! Tomorrow could be the day!

Hahahaha yeah, I'm checking every 20 minutes, plus checking this post nonstop to see if anyone else has heard anything does anyone know where we get uniforms and what colors they are? I'm praying it's not white pants.

Yeah I have been doing the exact same! I have no idea where we get them but I do know the scrub top is maroon and the pants are white. :/

I'm hoping not, if you go to that uniform link above and click on the pants to buy it only gives you the option to buy black ones. I WILL PRAY THIS IS TRUE. hahahaha due to female issues white a week out of the month is hardly possible without 5-8 bathroom trips a day so I'm not freaking out lol. I wish they would just give me a hysterectomy and get it done and over with. Lol

It USED to be white...the black appeared to be new about a year ago (conjecture since I am just going by what I've seen on campus since I started my journey to nursing school).

Yep! They used to be white, and the Spring 2016 semester was the time they changed them to black! They told us that in the welcome meeting from last semester. It's actually pretty cool bc I think they let cohorts who started in white remain in white (which sucks for them), but I work at BUMC-P (Good Sam lol) and it's a way you can tell who the new clinical students are versus students from earlier cohorts!
