ASU- Summer/Fall 2016

Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place to talk about Applications, TEAS Questions/Scores, Titers, and just getting to know each other!! Which semester are you applying for? Questions? It'll be fun! :) Introduce yourself!!!

I am applying for the fall term downtown. I'm nervous but totally excited! :)

I could be wrong, but I believe they send out the acceptance emails right at noon (or at least they have in the past). I'm hoping we get them tomorrow. I don't think I can wait very much longer lol

Yes, Junior 1 is definitely doable! I do enjoy the program, and I love the people I've met so far. The instructors are amazing and really want you to succeed. Your classmates will soon become your best friends since they really understand how crazy your life can be. I'm glad I chose ASU's nursing program. I feel like I am not only being prepared for the NCLEX, but the real nursing world. It's definitely worth it! Looking back, it's hard to believe the semester is almost over. Enjoy it while you can! Junior 1 will seriously fly by.

Hopefully they come tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest! Although I've seen some people receive theirs as late as 5pm I highly doubt they'll send them out today. I just got my confirmation of my application review yesterday. Although I did get it at 630 in the morning (on a Sunday) so they must be working overtime to get everything ready. Fingers crossed we hear soon!

Maybe I'm a bit too hopeful, but I imagine they could still come today, as the nursing department usually sends out emails around 12-4pm (I've noticed). I have a feeling though that it will likely come tomorrow or Wednesday.

Aliashanika, you're an angel!! You explained most of the things I've been curious about! And I'm hoping for Summer start, which is right around the corner so this definitely helped me to feel more at ease! :D Seriously, thank you so much for taking the time to give us the low down!

Does anyone know when the summer cohort actually starts? ASU's course catalog lists the summer session classes with May 16th start dates, but also say that they are "Dynamic Dated." I hope it's at least a little later than that.

Hey chembear, I could be totally wrong on this, but I remember my advisor mentioning to me that the nursing program starts about a week after May 12th-13th, as she was trying to emphasize why the transcripts HAVE to be submitted by that date (as the nursing program starts the next week).

Does anyone know what advancement score cut offs have been in the past, I'm really starting to freak out about not getting in this semester. Or has anyone heard an average for this semester from advisors or friends?

I know for the last two semesters the cut off score was 1.759. I don't know anything about this semester, though. Keep in mind though that there is an extra 20-30 spaces from the Mayo Clinic. :)

I'm just super worried that it might go up since so many people applied this semester. Ahh! The wait is getting the best of me. Hopefully we hear something soon
