ASU Spring 2011 program

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be applying for the Spring 2011 ASU Nursing program and was wondering if there were any others that was also planning to apply.

I took my TEAS in April and from reading the fall 2010 applicants post on the "ASU FALL 2010 HOPEFULS" it seems like a lot of people got really high scores...so I'm kind of scared.

But I'm sure many of us are in the same boat :)

Yes ma'am..........sorry..........:sniff:

ryonki, i too was surprised to hear that you have lived in az for your whole life and didn't know what nau was!!! it's one of only 3 state universities in the whole of arizona, so how could you possibly be working towards getting into nursing school and not have researched all of your options????

i never heard of nau because it is not a top school. i do not need to research other options because i am a top student. i could get into any schools i want. nau's program is very easy. the application cycle for asu is open every semester. how could that be a long wait? i do not need luck:cool:

Ryonaki:

Following YOUR line of logic and referencing my earlier post, did you bother researching U of A?

nau's program is very easy. the application cycle for asu is open every semester. how could that be a long wait? i do not need luck:cool:

you have no info to base the statement that nau is easy. it is not, it just has fewer applicants because of it's rural tract. if it was so bad, i can't imagin mayo would have us do capstones there. maybe they dont have as many applicants because people don't bother to look around (like you ). and no, i have a very high status. straight a's in all my pre-reqs and scored a 96 on the hesi entrance exam without even opening a study book. i was not an alternate for nau, and i have made dean's list every semester. i have also scored well into the 90's on each and every subject hesi thus far (again without even opening a study book, once). this is all on top of commuting every week (sometimes twice a week) from phoenix up to flag, while still working, and caring for a child at home. i had every chance of getting into asu, but i finished my pre-reqs for nau 6 months sooner than i could have for asu, so i decided to apply for grins and giggles. and like no idiot...i was not about to turn down an accetance into a fully accredited and well respected state university bsn program that i was able to finish in 18 months. if i waited to apply to asu (after taking those silly pre-reqs that you can only take at asu, like ethics), i'd be graduating 12 months later. good luck, anyway!

You should be proud of what you've accomplished and how you've been able to do it. The bottom line here is that you've done it. Anyone getting through nursing school deserves a big hand :yeah: Please don't assume Ryonaki's opinions reflect those of the rest of us at ASU.

First off, i just wanted to apologize if this topic ended up being offensive to anyone. it was not my intention ever, i'll try my best to prevent such matters from happening again:) and secondly, congratulations to those that made it into the fall 2010 program! :D :yeah:

I'm going to be turning in my application and several months ago i did blood work to see if I had positive titers for the mumps, rebeola, and rubella. I got my lab paper back and next to rebeola it says "positive", but it doesn't say anything next to rubella or the mumps. I called my doctor and the lab technician and they said that it means positive for all three...but i'm still iffy about that. if anyone knows if it does indeed mean "positive" for all three then please let me know.

thanks in advance.
