I spoke with a military recruiter and told him I wanted to be an army nurse and I have my BSN with a year critical cAre experience. He said its best for me to join as an LPN and then go to OCS and he wants me to start the paperwork tomorrow. I just do not understand why I would do this when I am not an LPN. PLEASE HELP !! IS THIS BEST FOR ME TO JOIN?

I am not sure what options you have right now if you are wanting to join as an Army nurse since you have to have 2 years experience to direct commission. That requirement is non waiver able so I'm not sure what recourse you have at the moment. And yes Army nurses do NBOLC not OSC. He was trying to pull a fast one. 17 years active duty here!!!í ½í¸í ½í¸

Your recourse is to talk to an Air Force or Navy recruiter. Both still take new grads.

I meant OCS LOL
