Relocating

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

I'm relocating to AZ from CA in January. I'm an LVN/LPN with 3 years experience in sub-acute care. I've worked with patients with vents and trachs and also have experience as a supervisor and currently an infection control nurse. I'm looking into moving to either the Glendale or Scottsdale area. Are there any sub acute facilities in those areas? And what are the pay rates for experienced LVN/LPN's? I know what I'm making now will probably be nowhere near what I will be making there but would like to get an idea of what the pay rates are. Thanks!

Select, Plaza, Kindred, Trillium, and Hacienda are the major Subs in the valley.

Select only hires RNs, Plaza is on a hiring freeze, Trillium is hiring, and Hacienda (not sure if they hire LPNs).

Pay rate for the subs for LPNs is anywhere from $25-$30 typically.

just looking,

I am also looking for possible relocation to Phoenix area, due to s/o job.

Any suggestions on best hospitals.

Will be looking in Avondale area.

I am RN currently in Texas

Experience in Womens area and supervisor skills

Just curious... why one would leave CA or TX and move to AZ? It is extremely hot, flat and dusty... The landscape is really depressing.

In Texas it is wet and humid with humidity stays in the 90% most of the time.

It is called moving for a slower pace of life.
