Are you as excited as I am??

Hi Luckysnakeeyes,

I know you must be very excited. Accoring to new rubric, what is your total points? (If you don't mind to share)

Hi Sayla,

It all depends on my grades this semester. I'll be at 23/25pts if I can manage all A's this semester since that should bump my GPA up to 3.7. Otherwise, I'll have 21/25.

Wow.....you definitely have a great points. I know you will get A's all of your classes. Your hesi score seems outstanding. Do you have any suggestions for me to improve my hesi score please? Another thing, do you have any previous degree?

HI Sayla -

I know you weren't asking me, but what helped me with the HESI was using the HESI book:

Elsevier Education Portal

Plus there are a bunch of free online practice tests, and there is also a HESI Ap (think it costs about $10).

Thank you Apple-Core for being so helpful. I really appreciate your approach. I am studying the hesi book, and also looking for other helpful resources. Hoping to get a better score.

Sayla,

I don't really have any suggestions other then make use of the hesi practice resources. I managed to google and find a test bank that gave random questions every few tries and that helped a bunch.

Brush up on fractions and decimals/conversions for the math portion.

As for previous degrees, I will have associate once grades post.

GWCCstudent,

My advisor at MCC told me that when a number of people have the same amount of points on their application is when they start looking at GPA and go from there! I haven't heard at all that is depends on your time stamp! But perhaps it's different with Mesa?!

I had talked to the advisor and asked him specifically what they do and he said they go off of when you turn in your maricopa pool application. Not off of grades or anything like that. He agreed that didn't seem fair but thats what he said they were doing and I spoke to him this past week.

I think this advisor is confusing the ADN and the CEP. The ADN is based off when you turn in your application, yes. The CEP is competitive and is based off your grades and other things such as previous degrees. Not everyone is familiar with the CEP, even some the Maricopa advisors, and especially if they are not specifically nursing advisors.

When you go in for advising, always ask for the nursing advisor. It is such a popular program, that they have an advisor who is just there to advise nursing students.
