Hi all, I'm new to this site (just joined today). But I've been lurking for a few weeks. I'm applying for the Aria Health SON and would love to meet others who are applying for the September 2012 academic year.
I received the PSU email but still do not know what credits of mine are being transferred.
What is the date and time of orientation?
Also, is this when we will be required to order our uniforms? I'd like to purchase some scrubs elsewhere as well (to save some money) and only order what we need to through them. Has anyone else heard of anyone doing this, or have any of you?
yes you have to get the lab coat thru the school because it gets embroidered LOL how do u spell that word? haha. so yea and also a community t shirt too. so just get one set, one T and the lab coat and u should be good. They also sell equipment that you need that you can buy through them or on your own. I already had a Littman stethoscope so i just bought the blood pressure cuff thing which was i thinkkkkk $29, to practice b/p's at home. Uhmm alot of people got the clip boards that come with calculators on them. I just carry around a notebook with me. I bought the pen light from my local scrubs store for like $6 and i heard mine is really bright and i heard that the ones that the students got through the schools sucked (not bright enough). Hmmmm....i guess thats about it. Don't go crazy about the sneakers, just make sure they are white. Quite a few of us just wear white leather shelltop adidas. IF you go on the Littman stethoscope website they have a new one thats been out and the metal is rainbow (so cool, yeaaa im a dork). I want one
Im excited for you guys that are starting...feels like yesterday. Youre excited to be coming in, IM exciting to be almost getting OUT haha! Senior pictures for me on monday! :yelclap:
