Aria Health School of Nursing - Jan 11'

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Just wanted to see who else was currently applying for the January 11' start date. My application is in RAP review as of today. I went in with like a 3.2GPA and did very well on my TEAS. I scored an 87% on it which put me in the 94th percentile nationwide. When I went on the interview I was told the TEAS score was very good and my GPA was good as well. I'm kind of bugging out. I want this so bad because I don't want to wait a whole year to re-apply for the fall classes. Finger's crossed. Anyone else out there applying now as well?

im really excited to start, ive been putting it off for a few years too but i need to just get it over with! Im glad this website exists. Its pretty cool to meet people in your class before u actually start.

sure is. ive been trying to find out any information i can, from anywhere!!!!!!! and im so excited i wish it was tommorow. i cant stand going to work anymore, i cant wait to wake up and go to SCHOOL instead! cant come fast enough!

hey everybody, i'm so excited to start in january. i also have a bunch of credits that i am hoping will transfer over. i have 33 credits that i think will transfer over. will we find out at orientation which classes will transfer? has everybody received back their clearances? i am still waiting on the child abuse clearance. the finger print fbi clearance actually came back really fast but it has been almost 4 weeks for the child abuse clearance.

PBrenn,

I think we will find out Dec 8th and 9th what of our classes transfered.

I mailed out my child abuse form on Oct 12th. I FINALLY got it back Nov 5th. The FBI fingerprints i received quickly too, only took a week.

I was worried about the child abuse one too cuz it was taking forever!!

Heyyyy...I start in January. I'm sure i have already called a million and one times and asked a billion questions to the Administration and Registration so I try to find out my answers by looking around on places like this. But from what I know, the lady in registration told me the incoming class starts together and finishes together. From what she told me, she explained that at MOST some people can knock off one semester but very rarely they can knock off 2 semester. Me, personally, i love that I got into a program and start in January but I don't like the idea of being in Nursing school for 3 years when i Know i can finish before then. She said the incoming class won't graduate until Fall 2013...I hope and plan to graduate Fall 2012/Spring2013. I have the Micro, Ant I&II, Soc, Psych, Nutrition, English, Math, Stat, Englsh I&II, and all those other random classes that will transfer in. And i planned out my schedule several times, if I go the way I plan to by taking 3 classes each trimester, it easily puts me at Fall 2012 with only the Capstone course to take (which is only 8 wks) so I intended on sticking to that schedule. I really look forward to meeting everyone and I am miss social and bubble and I love long walks on the beach :jester:and my favorite color is blue, lol. And we alllll know that we will be better acquainted once orientation comes around. So I'm just breaking the ice. I can't wait and it sounds nerdy but I'm excited!! hahaha

haha youre silly. I think u can only take 2 classes at Penn State while taking one clinical Nursing Course.

Oh I know that, lol...theres 6 (10-12 credit) Nursing Courses 110,111,210,211,310,313 and then theres the capstone...so that to me equals 6 semesters and an extra 8 wks for the capstone. The other courses just have to fall in line and i think i'm set.

we shall see my dear :) i was hoping to get done in 2 years atleast. i have my associates degree and took all the classes u took too. i didnt take abnormal psych tho

I didnt take Abnormal Psych either...and i'm on the 2 year plan along with you. So high five to that..lol

I think for the first semester i wanted to take Nursing 110 , Bio 297A and an Elective. But we'll see how everything pans out.

high five woot woot haha. I didnt really think about what i want to take first. probably the harder classes first (at PSU) cuz im sure nursing one will be the easiest of them all.

I already have an associates degree. so I just need the diploma. do u think they will make me take statistics again because they want a 4 credit instead of the 3 credit i already took at my community college?? i mean, what would be the point??? (can u tell i REALLY dont want to take it again?)
