Wyoming, North Dakota for sure. Have you ever thought of working in corrections? You would be a shoo-in for one of those jobs. Also, there is a great travel agency that places psych nurses - I have worked for them in the past and the treat you great - Supplemental Healthcare. Good luck!

Wow thanks for the agency info! Yes I have thought about corrections, even applied for one and they wanted experience. I will keep trying in that area. Although...........I am 58 and have some arthritic joints......can't run very fast LOL!!!!!!!! :chair:

Vermont State Hospital is always looking for RNs. The state prisons are also looking for nurses.

wyogypsy-thanks much for the info on corrections!! makes me think it might be just up my alley:rolleyes:. And I know that I would be more comfortable working with adults in prison or mental health than kids- and that is pretty sad.

Pittsburgh. I'm temping at a psych hospital that is very short staffed. Lots of work in this city in general for most areas.

Scratch that. There are so few jobs here. Milw cnty was hiring but now I hear through the grapevine that they are wanting to downsize and outsource. No other psych spots open anywhere and I troll the ads weekly. Good luck :)
