Hi all
I have heard that there are a couple of schools (CRNA) which actually have their MSN portion 100% online.
Have many heard of this, is it common at all?

Quite a few, perhaps all, have some form of distance learning. Probably because the schools have numerous clinical sites, and one professor teaching a class. But if you are thinking you can find a school where you can do the whole thing online, well, forget it. No such place.
No i know there isnt a school with the CRNA program online. However, i have since found out there are a number of programs with the entire MSN portion online. You can actually do all these classes before your CRNA program and have a much decreased class requirement, neat idea.

Hey Mike,
My school is like that. There are a few msn classes and they are offerred on line and they actually strongly encourage you to take those classes if possible before you start the program so that you have more time to concentrate on anesthesia.
Or you can do like I did, avoid a MSN program like it is the plague. Those are run by PhD nurses, and there is way too much bs. Some programs are totally run by CRNAs, and you learn anesthesia, not all that nursing theory cr*p. And I am not talking about the old certificate programs, you still get a Masters degree, but not in nursing.
hey ray
Seems like a very progressive idea. At the rate im going I may have as many as 5 MSN core classes done by the time i could start anesthesia school (assuming they take them wherever i get in). I am hoping that it will lighten the courseload so that I can 100% concentrate on the anesthesia stuff.
