Are there any Oklahoma ABSN students out there?

I would like some information on the program, how do you like it? Would you pick this school again if you had the chance? I am applying to the program that is being held here in San Diego. I am nervous about the online portion of the program, is it do-able? :uhoh3:

I also applied for June! I graduated with a BS in Health Sciences at SDSU. I'm getting so nervous as the end of March approaches. If I may ask, what was your guys' GPA?

Welcome to our un-official "anxiously awaiting to hear from OU" club! :lol2:

My gpa from UCSD wasn't so hot (was in the "C's get degrees" mode), I had a 2.78 but my gpa from all my post UCSD classes, pre-reqs, etc is a 4.0. The counselor said what really mattered was the gpa from the pre-req sciences, anatomy, etc. What was yours? What year did you graduate?

Hopefully we will all get in and we can be a study group, would be great to have support!:D

Thanks for the update!!! :yeah: Oh and just FYI, last time they sent an email letting us know we got in and then a letter came like three weeks later. So keep an eye on your email!!

Well i graduated with about a 3.3 GPA, and I had already finished all my prereq prior to getting my bachelors cuz the prereqs for my major were almost the exact same as the nursing prereqs (anatomy, micro etc)... I graduated dec 06. But I kinda slacked off my first few years of college.. so my grades weren't the best.

I know some people who applied for June who haven't finished their science prereqs.. but are in the process of finishing it now and will be finished in may. How do they determine if they get in, if they don't know what grades they have in those classes.. since its probably the most important in determining your acceptance?

I was wondering about financial aid too. I submitted my FAFSA but haven't heard anything from the school. I wish I had asked more questions when I met with the advisor. I do know that the clinicals are 8 hours, not 12. I'm really hoping to get in because I don't want to spend 2 years getting an ADN at City or Grossmont...although it's cheaper, it would be more time without a paycheck!

I haven't heard anything about my financial aid either yet. But last semester when I was accepted I got my award letter shortly after I received my email regarding acceptance. I think they wait to see who gets in first.

I feel the same way, it is a lot of money but its worth it to get a higher degree in a shorter amount of time. Makes sense to me!

A friend of mine talked to someone at the financial aid office at OU (who is also applying for Summer 08) and they told her she most likely will not get any grants.. all loans loans loans... which I assumed was gonna happen anyway.

Are all of you completely done with your pre reqs? currently finishing them???

I'm done with all of the pre-reqs but had to CLEP history and one english. It seems that every program has different pre-reqs....I took a speech class as a pre-req for National and won't end up going there (hopefully!)

Unfortunately all 2nd bachelor students are not eligible for grants but only loans. :banghead:

I finished all of mine but had to CLEP two english classes. I'm taking my last CLEP this monday. What about you? I can't wait to just focus on nursing courses!

Im taking History right now... that was the only pre req I was missing. I really hope we all get accepted! Is it true that not many people applied for June? My friend said that when she asked in Feb, only 30 students had submitted an application for Summer. But who knows if people (like myself) waited until the end of the month to submit their application.

Are you guys originally from San Diego?
