Are there good websites that review info relevant to NCLEX?

Published

I've looked around a bit on the web to see if there are any helpful resources for NCLEX prep, but haven't found too much. For me, it doesn't have to be NCLEX specific, but does anyone know of any good websites that review nursing knowledge in a way that would help to prepare for the test? Free is good, I don't mind paying but only if a site is really worth it, and none of them ones I looked at gave me the confidence that my money wouldn't be wasted.

I have a book as well (The Princeton Review), but I'm going to be travelling and that's one heavy book, I'd rather be able to access something on the web.

Kaplan, definitely. You get a book with it and online access to personalized tests and assessments. everyone says kaplan is the best prep out there. plus it has 100% guarantee (money back if you fail nclex, or an add'l free course). check it out.

i'm not sure what words you searched when you were online but there are many, many, many free sites on the internet that will provide you with a wealth of information regarding the nclex-rn. i did a search of "free online nclex-rn exam questions", "free nclex-rn questions", "free online nclex-rn..."

in doing so you will even find links the seven (7) question trainers (questions with rationales...about 1100 questions) used by a very popular nclex-rn review course. not only will you find the question trainers but you will also find additional bulleted items and review topics. allnurses.com does not allow us to provide the web link to this site within a thread.

you will also find the nclex-rn 3500 series. there are 3,500 nclex questions that cover the 8-categories of the nclex. the site is free to use but they often take it down from time-to-time or change the web address. just do a search of nclex 3500 on the allnurses.com site and you will be sure to find a link. if you can't find it within allnurses, just to a search of nclex-rn 3500 and you will see the links.

if you like using flashcards...try www.flashcardexchange.com. this is an online website that allows you to "create" your own flashcards!!! great tool, if you have access to a computer and don't want to hand write so many index cards.

everyone cannot afford kaplan, hurst, judy miller (is that her name?), etc. so using the free sites on the internet are very helpful. when i prepared for nclex, i became overwhelmed with the information that was available online. judy miller (if that's the correct name) has "samples" of her videos/dvds online. even though it is not the full dvd, the information she provides is very helpful.

good luck with your search and best of luck with your state nclex exam!!

Most good nclex books come with cd's...saunders, kaplan, prentice hall, lippincott, then you get the book as a comprehensive review and a cd to use when you dont want to carry a book

Thanks for the tips, esp. smn2009, using your search terms I found a couple of the sites you reference and they look great, thanks!
