Hello,
Anyone else apply for APU's Spring 2021 nursing program? I got an email the other day regarding more locations for the 2+2 program. I'm hoping that means more students will be accepted. This is my third time applying, so I am really hoping my third time is the charm!
Hi! I'm from cohort 31 so basically the cohort before you guys haha. Our entire cohort were all waiting and checking our emails and phones like crazy from June to August of this year trying to find out when admissions would tell us if we got in or not. We were told that because of covid the process would be significantly slower...and MANNNN IT WAS DAMN SLOWW. Our semester started I think end of August and we didn't get our admissions notice until the second week of august ? and we were all scrambling to get our *** together LOL. Just as a warning, things are going to be pretty last minute (and I MEAN LATE, like a few days before classes start...) especially with COVID so be prepared!!
And for those of you worrying about your GPAs, mine actually wasn't that stellar either I think it was around a 3.29 but I had a lot of clinical experience and volunteer experience to build my resume so that helped a lot. Your personal statements also play a big part in your apps so don't lose hope yet! And yea, there is NO interview. They took that out at least for our admissions. Overall so far it's a pretty good program (if you just ignore how last minute things are..), most of the professors are pretty understanding and nice so you're in good hands. Good luck to you all! Hope we get to meet some of you guys in the future on campus ?
Hi guys,
Well, they called my friend yesterday just to make sure she will be attending this coming Spring. She was accepted last semester but financially she was unable to attend so they rolled her over for this term. According to what they told her, they wanted to make sure she was going to attend otherwise, they would give her spot to someone else and if accepted, we should be hearing from APU by next week followed by an email or letter. You won’t get a call if not accepted. Only a letter in the mail letting you know you didn’t get in. She was also told that there were a lot of applicants. But don’t get discouraged. This was my friends 2nd time applying. So if we don’t get in this time, we can try again. I wish all of us the best

Hello! I’m planning to apply for the Summer 2021 as well. I’m worried about my cumulative GPA not being high enough. I’m taking biochemistry and a history course this Fall. I asked my advisor if there is a waitlist and she said there wasn’t and they take in about 20 LVNs. But I’m not sure if that’s right. Good luck to us both !
