APU 2+2 Nursing Spring 2021
We’re all still majority meeting online via zoom for lectures. Except for skills lab and clinical those are in person. I’m not sure if they’re going to move forward next semester with oncampus classes but I’ve heard they want to push for return to campus starting Summer but don’t quote me on me that ?. Personally for me, I actually liked zoom lectures because most professors record their lectures and make it available to review on our own time. And it’s just more convenient for me because it cuts down my cost for commuting to campus. I know it’s flexible for many of my friends in the cohort who are also moms because they can always take the lectures on the go. The only down side is making sure you have a reliable source of WiFi which can be iffy because of the pandemic. But overall I don’t think it’s that bad ??♀️.

Yes! Once they make a decision your account will update and you’ll be able to view the decision letter. At least that’s how it was for me. But our cohort didn’t get our admissions decisions until 2-3 weeks before classes actually started. They’re usually pretty last minute ? not sure how they’ve changed since then.

I’m second semester 2+2 currently in HD campus I can attach some images of my 1st semester and current schedule but the schools kinda sporadic with last minute skills lab changes and clinical changes so my schedules don’t always look like the images ??hopefully the images are viewable LOL

APU 2+2 Nursing Spring 2021
Hi! I'm from cohort 31 so basically the cohort before you guys haha. Our entire cohort were all waiting and checking our emails and phones like crazy from June to August of this year trying to find out when admissions would tell us if we got in or not. We were told that because of covid the process would be significantly slower...and MANNNN IT WAS DAMN SLOWW. Our semester started I think end of August and we didn't get our admissions notice until the second week of august ? and we were all scrambling to get our *** together LOL. Just as a warning, things are going to be pretty last minute (and I MEAN LATE, like a few days before classes start...) especially with COVID so be prepared!! And for those of you worrying about your GPAs, mine actually wasn't that stellar either I think it was around a 3.29 but I had a lot of clinical experience and volunteer experience to build my resume so that helped a lot. Your personal statements also play a big part in your apps so don't lose hope yet! And yea, there is NO interview. They took that out at least for our admissions. Overall so far it's a pretty good program (if you just ignore how last minute things are..), most of the professors are pretty understanding and nice so you're in good hands. Good luck to you all! Hope we get to meet some of you guys in the future on campus ?

APU 2+2 Fall 2020
Mine wasn't as competitive I think it might have been my extracurriculars that saved me haha. My cumulative was 3.29, with a science GPA of 3.28. But I do have multiple volunteer hours with multiple community health groups and clinics. I also have a long work history within the healthcare field for over 8+ years. I volunteer with local animal shelters and worked full time in a medical office and had patient exposure and contact for the past 5 years so I've learned a lot of medical procedures throughout this time. I'm a licensed phlebotomist as well.

I'm OK with whichever, I have line installed too for work or if anyone else have other preferred apps I can probably just download that off the app store.

Sorry to hear that ? You can try applying for the next cohort or try west coast university? I heard mixed reviews for the school but it’s also another fast track option if you don’t want to wait longer for admission with other schools.

I haven’t heard anything either. But I did get a call last week from a coordinator just asking about some information on my app. It looks like they’ve barely started to review the apps beginning last week probably because of all the covid lockdowns. Hopefully they’ll lets us know soon. I’m literally sitting in anxiety everyday at work waiting for their reply....good luck to everyone!! Let’s all hang in there !!

Hope everyone gets in as well! ? Does anyone know if sending in the application weeks earlier prior to the deadline has any advantages? Or does the school look through all the applications first before making decisions? My stats aren't really competitive compared to the ones being posted in this thread so I'm really giving myself anxiety and doubts right now ?. I hope we all find out soon! Goodluck vibes to everyone applying!
