Hi! I'm currently applying to Azusa Pacific University's traditional MSN with FNP specialty for Spring 2021. I wanted to see if there are any applicants out there so we can chat or APU NP grads who went through the experience to maybe help out with some insight. Any responses would be much appreciated!!

I am sure you did great! ?

Who is your rep? I have been in contact with ------------. I hope they do make decisions sooner than later. ?

Congrats! ? I still haven’t heard back for an interview or anything. May I ask how the interview went and what we can expect?

Thank you! So it was via ZOOM scheduled for 30min but mine lasted for an hour since we just chatted it up! I had one of the professors of the program interview me with basic questions like, "why do you want to become an NP; what makes an NP different than an MD; why APU?" so preparing your answers would definitely help.
The professor told me right away whether or not I'd be a good candidate. She also told me that if I didn't get in with this cohort that it's not because I wasn't good enough for their program, but that mainly it's due to the fact that they had sooooo many candidates applying for this period and they are limited to their decision. It was a very comfortable interview - professional yet personable which I appreciated. I can tell the faculty really care about their students.

Thank you! Keep your head up and continue moving forward!!

I tried reaching out to my program rep only to find out he’s on paternity leave ?
so if someone else reaches out to their rep, let me know their response!
