Hi everyone! I just received news today that I have been accepted into Azusa Pacific University's LVN to BSN program starting January 2015! Yay! I'm so excited and was wondering if anyone else has been accepted or have accomplished a nursing program at APU? I'm also from northern California and contemplating which areas to live and whether if I should find a room mate or apartment for living. Any tips will be very helpful! =)
Hello,
I am thinking to apply for the January 18' cohort and I am also working in managed care right now as a Quality Improvement HEDIS Nurse. I really do not want to quit this job while I am in school if I don't have to. May I ask what the schedule is like for the first few semester? Will there be a lot of weekday day time classes? I am looking for a night class/weekend program. THanks in advance!

Hi Btk688. I am glad you posted this question. I get a headache each time I search the forum and reading all the posts about this issue. I will be done with my pre-requisities at UC/APU this December; the plan was to transfer to the LVN-BSN at APU. However, I was just recently notified that the curriculum changed where the classes are during the daytime. I was devastated and have been scrambling since as I need to work while in school. I hope someone from the current class chimes in to provide insight on class and clinical schedules.

Hi,
They will work with you to see how you can be competitive.
I have 3.69 from LVN. 86.7 TEAS V. My prereq gpa was 3.54. My science gpa was 3.80? (I forgot) lol
Your working experience will vary, but that won't be a major criteria to be rejected.
I have worked as a CNA for home health and managed care as outpt case manager LVN.
Good luck.
