APU LVN-BSN Program Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

I wanted to start a thread to connect with other fellow nurses who applied at APU for the LVN-BSN program for Fall 2019. I applied in Monrovia campus. Did anyone else applied there or the IE campus? I would love to hear from you guys. I would also like to hear from people that are in the program. I want to know what to expect and how is the learning experience so far. ☺️

@abbey86 I was there with you today, I passed too! Yay!

Congrats you guys!! Definitely challenge the pharmacology exam, I just took it today in the Monrovia campus. If you guys study the study guide, I think you will ok. Congratulation again!! I’m excited for all of us!!

Meldyjp, theres 44 meds on that study guide. How many questions are on that exam?

It was more than 40questions. Know your measurement conversions/and meds conversions. Definitely go by ur study guide of all your meds listed. Know the side effects and contraindication. Some were easy q’s And some were very tricky. Just do your best. You got this!!! Good luck guys!!!

HAs anyone taken the nutrition test out exam?? I heard its really hard.

I just got denied?

Hey Guri2019,

I'm sorry to hear that, don’t lose hope and continue to to apply. You should email them and ask what part of your application process that needs improvement and work on that part!

Thank you for reply. The letter said that they are unable to get all qualified candidates in the program. They didn't mention anything that if i suppose to be on waitlist or apply again i m kinda very confused, so not sure what i suppose to do apply again or figure something else.

honestly, the program seems a bit unorganized. Ive had a hard time getting ahold of them either via phone or email. I found out yesterday that no ones passed the nutrition at all, and less than half passed the pharm. And at $100 a test, Im starting to think APU is more about profit then its "religious" base.
