Hey there! I was looking to APU's high desert program for summer 2012. I know applications are due Feb 15. I know they have a lot of requirements and they only take in 20 students per application period (3 application cycles per year). I would like to apply but unfortunately I don't think I am competitive enough. The lady I talk to said 40 people qualified for spring and 20 people got in. So I guess is a 50/50 shot. I am thinking of applying just to try my luck.
So my question is...does anyone know about this program or got accepted? Is it good? What were your stats entering? Does the leadership and volunteer experience really worth much? Any and all answers to these questions will be extremely helpful!
Ok, I called back and I think she's getting sick of me. She said I'd receive an email with the decision and that she didn't know how many people applied this term
hahaha it's weird that you haven't heard anything though because all of the other schools usually let you know if you've been accepted or not before summer even starts. I would be so nervous
I'm trying to stay positive but it's hard since I was denied for the graduate ELM program and this was about the same amount of time with me not hearing anything! =(
Unfortunately, I didn't get in. I still haven't even gotten a rejection letter. I asked Gab by why or what I can do it make myself more competitive and she hasn't gotten back to me yet....sigh....devastated again...I guess it's on to the next school
Hi, I know this is an old post but, has anyone applied to, or been accepted to APU's two plus two? I just sent my application online and I'm wondering how long it takes to hear something. I feel like my essay was good, I also have two letters of recommendation from my micro and physiology professors and my GPA is 3.5. I received A's in micro, anatomy and physio. I can barely stand It, wondering if it's enough! I really want to be accepted for the January cohort!
