APU ELM Spring 2020

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently in the process of applying to APU's ELM program for Spring 2020. Applications aren't due until Feb. 1st but I'm hoping this thread will help fellow applicants get connected throughout the process :)

I don’t know the general Stats but from what I have read it seems like all kind of applicants have been submitted and/or given an interview. I got an interview at the IE On the 17tj of April notified via email, wish me luck guys. I’m really nervous.

Good luck! Don't be nervous; the interview is very casual and conversational ?

Thank you @michellestewie, do you have any advice? How is the writing portion? I am so bad at timed writing.

Hi Everyone! I am also getting pretty anxious as well. Haven't heard from them either ;(. I applied to the IE location and is curious if the main campus call or email more often? Also wanted to know if it was group or individual interview? Lastly, to anyone who've done the interview already, did you guys have the opportunity to speak to current students in the program, as well as, all the staff members? Wishing everyone a good luck, Thank you!

Do not give up hope! The IE location is still giving out interviews I think. Try calling your advisor and maybe they can help. I think it is individual interview based on all of the forums I have been reading. I have not done my interview yet but I know some people that have gone to Azusa and they all really love it there. Wishing you best of luck as well!!

I would say just be genuine in your interview. The writing prompt is pretty simple. I had to read a one-page article, summarize it, and share my thoughts. I applied to the San Diego campus, but I would think that the writing prompt for IE is similar. Hope this helps!

No this helped a lot thank you so much! I really hope everyone in this forum makes it to AZUSA!

I interviewed at IE location yesterday and I WAS SO NERVOUS! They make you read an article and summarize/interpret the article prior to the interview, I know they have several prompts. The interview ended up being very conversational and the interviewer was soooo friendly, which definitely helped me be less nervous. The interviewer just wants to make sure you know what you're signing up for as well as see if you're mentally prepared to tackle this program.

If you're interviewing just be yourself, shake the nerves off, and dont be afraid to ask any questions. Remember they are interviewing you for a reason!

They advised me that at the latest they would have letters/notices out to applicants by end of May.

Best of luck to everyone going through the interview process. Hope I was able to provide some insight.

I haven’t received an invitation to interview ? IE campus

Don't give up. Its not uncommon to not get in first round of applications. I work in an ambulatory care setting and a lot of nurses I work with had to apply quite a few times prior to getting into their Nursing Program of choice. Keep your head up and stay in good spirits @MyNameIsSammy

Still nothing. ?
