Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

I called my program rep earlier for main campus and he said that decisions have not been made yet. I explained my situation regards to accepting/declining the other program by tomorrow and he said he'll contact them and get back to me later with an update, but I don't think it'll be an official decision.

Did they ever call you back?

He didn't, and I'm not surprised actually. Whenever I've had to check on things like transcripts in the past I would have to go up the chain of command to get some answers. I thought about calling the director, but decided I'm going to defer csusm to spring as a backup, it'll help me financially anyway. So I figure why pester them anymore ya know

This is driving me crazy, the waiting.

@aschreiman Have you called? I'm thinking about calling again tomorrow if I don't hear something today.

I called inland empire instead of main campus and they said the advisor wasn't coming in till 2:30 today and I could leave a message or call back.

@aschreiman I hope they call you back with good news :)

I just called main campus and spoke to the director who interviewed me, she said they did meet last Thursday to review applications and have sent out the list to the graduate office. I didn't press her, but she said she didn't have the list in front of her right then. We should be hearing within the next week. Hopefully they simply update the student center and we get email notifications asap.

To be blunt, I feel like I didn't get in. I mean, it's only 20 spots so she would probably know off the top of her head who is in. Or maybe they just don't want to give that information over the phone whether it's good or bad news. I dunno, I guess we'll see...

Yeah, Im starting to feel the same way the wait is becoming discouraging.

Well, maybe they just made a campus wide decision to not notify applicants of acceptance/decline status over the phone. If anyone finds out a decision over the phone, please let the group know. good luck and let's try to stay positive! :)

Well I live close to main campus around 7 miles, so if i get anything in the mail I will let you guys know

I really wish they would just update the student center so we'd all get automated emails. That seems like the easiest and most efficient way to notify everyone at once. I also live close to SD campus so I'll update you guys if anything comes in the mail.
