APU ELM Spring 2019

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

@aschreiman Thanks! Is that also the campus you interviewed at? I was hoping they might start contacting people today but I guess I'll just have to be patient lol.

Yeah I interviewed at main campus but was asked at the time of my interview if I was open to attending Inland Empire and I said yes. What about you did you interview at main campus as well and apply for main campus? Yeah I was also hoping they would begin contacting us today. I am constantly checking my email lol.

No, I interviewed in SD and am only applying for that location so I'm really hoping it works out. I keep hearing that SD notifies students first so I've been constantly checking my phone and email lol.

Have you reached out to them at all? From past forums, I read that people called and asked about their application and they where told over the phone they where accepted.

I just emailed the admissions contact at SD and got an automated out of office response.

I ended up calling and was told admissions ended up meeting today and that letters should be mailed by the end of next week. So it sounds like that's how we'll be notified, or at least the SD campus will be notifying students that way.

That makes sense why I haven't heard back from my admissions representative. He's usually very prompt About responding to emails. Welp, I guess I'll have to survive the next week or so. Lol. I'm putting good vibes and prayers out there for all of us!

Thanks for the update! So hopefully we will find out sometime next week if not it sounds like possibly even the following week if they are mailing it out next week.

Well, hopefully that's the case for all campuses. It sounds like SD campus is ahead of the game in general. I am going to call tomorrow bc I need to accept or decline an offer from another program by Tuesday. I was pretty even with both but I realize APU is best for me bc I have been volunteering at Cedars for over a year now, could do clinicals there, and have been getting more involved with the many educational seminars they have. I also already have a good restaurant job in LA and i plan to work twice a week during all this. Moving is just presenting many hurdles and it would be fast so I think I am going to defer that acceptance.

I'll let you know what main campus says tomorrow!!
