APU ELM Spring 2019

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

well I guess I am not the only one who had an awkward conversation over the phone. I really wanted to be like, "can you just tell me if I am accepted?" lol. seemed a bit inappropriate tho.

sounds like once grad admissions gets that list they update the system (sends out emails) and they'll send the physical letters out. My guess is the email will be first notification then they'll make the calls once the system is updated. hopefully we all get good news soon!!!

Congrats! What campus? If you don't mind, can you share your degree GPA and prereq GPA? I know the last application cycle was very competitive

@hca4 Jlynn got into main campus. I just took a look at the fall term forum and she is one of the three we knew got accepted for spring 19 at monrovia/azusa. so far nobody else has chimed in with that news so there should be 17 spots. :)

Thank you! Yes I got into main campus. My undergraduate GPA is around 3.2. I didn't realize till later that that major was not for me. My prereq/last 90 units GPA is 4. I heard the same thing that Fall 2018 application cycle was really competitive. I do know someone that also got into Spring 2019 may be giving up the spot though. Good luck to you all!

This wait is crazy! In January when I was rejected I was told that 5 spots were given away to spring 2019 for main campus but that doesn't mean everyone will be accepting their spot. It's insane that we might not hear back before the summer application deadline! Even though western is significantly more expensive and I'll probably be in student loan debt until I die I am glad to have this whole process behind me.

I think I am just going to start the process of reapplying @SomedayFNP, did you just call them and tell them you wanted to reapply or did you do it online?

Is it basically zero chance you accept APU if you got into main campus? Western's campus is close enough, it would just be an interesting living arrangement haha
