Hello everyone,
I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.
@doctav I have no clue how many points I have. were you able to see it on the sheet she had in front of her? Maybe @somedayFNP can better answer that since he's gone through this before. She did tell me that she likes older candidates, I'm 31 and had a previous career in finance/business, that generally are more mature and have more life experience. So I'm not sure how they weigh in those kind of variables
@inkabruce Which campus did you interview at? I'm also curious about the points, I wasn't given any information on the point system during my interview so I have no idea where I fall on their scale. I'm also an older student in my early 30s with a business/marketing background. I'm hoping that they take our professional experience into consideration even if it's not medical. I'm nervous because I don't have any medical or volunteer experience yet, although I'm starting a volunteer program soon. I know APU doesn't requite those things but I'm assuming they give extra points for them.
@hca4 I interviewed at the main campus in Azusa/Monrovia. I live in the Culver City area so that would be the easiest transition for me, but I asked to be considered for all campuses as well. And yea, I've been hoping that having a previous career professionally counts for something throughout this whole process.

Good luck! Hopefully we'll all be hearing good news next month :)
Do you think there's any chance some people will hear this week or nah?? I'm trying to avoid paying the deposit at Western lol
They're still interviewing people at main campus, some People posted they have an interview April 10th I believe so I don't think we're going to hear back till they're done interviewing
@SomedayFNP
I think we still have another month to hear back. I interviewed with the director of the program and she said May 4th. It's so hard to wait, I feel like the interview process is a lot longer than it was in the Fall. Did you interview with someone different this time around? What did you think?

Guys! I received my interview date for April 12th for the main campus (': I'm so ecstatic, because I honestly didn't think I would get called back for this cycle. Thank you for everyone's advice regarding the interview. Hoping for the best for all of us!
