Hello,
I am currently in the process of applying to APU's ELM Nursing program for the the Fall of 2019. Applications are not due until October 1st, however I feel like this forum might help as a sort of support group for one another as we reach towards our goal as future NPs!
Hi Myyellowraincoat,
First Off, Good Luck on your Interview! I'm sure you'll do great!
I went to the interview a few weeks ago and I was very nervous as well.
The Interviewee went over my Undergrad, science and non-science gpa. Also asked me a few questions in regards to my healthcare backgrounds and religious background - whether I've participated in a church setting and if so what did I do or help the church out? Also, asked If I've done any international travel for christian or volunteer services - I didn't have any experience, but it would be good to think about it if you've had any volunteer experiences outside of the U.S. She talked about the nursing school and asked Why I wanted to go to APU?
After the interview - I had to write an summary of an article.
It was pretty short and I hope to hear back from them soon.
Good Luck!
Hi There! Good luck on your interview :) The format was very organized--the interviewer reviews applicant information, APU documents and curriculum, and any questions you may have!
In regards to the writing portion, I would recommend not worrying before hand. The assignment is meant to compare your writing style to your essay!
